Safari Experience

Tanzania offers excellent safari experiences year-round, but the best time depends on what you want to see. The dry season (June-October) offers the best wildlife viewing as animals gather around water sources. The Great Migration in the Serengeti occurs from July to October. The green season (November-May) features lush landscapes, newborn animals, and fewer tourists.
Tanzania is home to the famous Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros) as well as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, crocodiles, and over 500 bird species. The Serengeti alone hosts over 2 million wildebeest during the Great Migration.
We use customized 4x4 Land Cruisers with pop-up roofs for optimal wildlife viewing and photography. Each vehicle has a maximum of 6 passengers (7 seats, 6 used) to ensure everyone has a window seat. Vehicles are equipped with charging ports, cooler boxes, and first aid kits.

Travel & Logistics

Most visitors require a visa to enter Tanzania. You can apply for an e-visa online before travel or obtain a visa on arrival at major airports and border crossings. The single-entry tourist visa costs $50 for most nationalities ($100 for US citizens). We recommend applying for an e-visa at least 2 weeks before travel.
For northern Tanzania safaris (Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire), fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). For Zanzibar beach extensions, you can fly into Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ). For southern Tanzania safaris (Selous/Ruaha), Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam (DAR) is most convenient.
Yes! All our safari packages include airport transfers to and from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK). We also provide transfers between safari destinations and to Zanzibar departure points if you're adding a beach extension.

Health & Safety

Yellow fever vaccination is required if traveling from a country with risk of yellow fever transmission. Recommended vaccinations include Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, and routine vaccines. Malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended. Please consult your doctor or a travel clinic at least 6-8 weeks before departure.
Yes, Tanzania is one of the safest safari destinations in Africa. Our experienced guides are trained in wildlife behavior and safety protocols.
